Launched in 2023 in collaboration with local institutions and the Ministry of Public Education, Academic Excellence Recognition Program is aimed to recognise outstanding achievements in education. By the end of the reporting period, a total of 26 educational centres were awarded 20 recognitions, including commendations for 3 teachers, 1 principal, 10 students for English language proficiency, 5 students for academic excellence, and 1 institutional environmental project.

Established in 2007, the Student Supply Donation Program continues its efforts by donating 600 packages of school supplies to children in the community and 120 packages to children of collaborators, ensuring that students start the school year prepared and equipped for success every year.
Initiated in 2018, Tabacón’s sponsorship of the community Marching Band of La Fortuna provides support for the development and training of more than 150 local youth musicians. In 2023, Tabacón provided a sponsorship of $3000, which increased to $5000 in 2024, facilitating the cultural growth and enrichment of the community through music.

Additionally, with 840 solar panels, Tabacón generates solar energy for self-consumption and contributes to the community grid.
Carbon emissions are quantified and mitigated through positive environmental impact actions, with compensation achieved through the preservation of 226 hectares of forest.
Strategic partnerships play a crucial role in Tabacón's sustainability journey. As a founding member of the Alliance of Companies for Sustainability of La Fortuna, the resort collaborates with public and private institutions to drive awareness and execute sustainability projects. Initiatives like the La Fortuna Electric Route, a network for charging vehicles throughout the community demonstrate Tabacón 's commitment to innovative solutions for sustainable mobility.
Eco-certifications include recognition from the Ecological Blue Flag Program in the Climate Change category and the Certification of Sustainable Tourism in the Elite Level from the Costa Rican Institute of Tourism, demonstrating commitment to sustainability across all areas.
