We all cherish wine culture and indulge in the alchemy that happens when grapes ferment. But have you ever thought about the journey that bottles take once you’ve savored their contents? During the hotels journey of waste reduction, they realised they have a large quantity of glass bottles whose typical destination is a landfill. While to a guest, an empty bottle signifies the end, for the producer, it signifies a new beginning.

In collaboration with Zero Waste Montenegro and Business Development Cetinje, the hotel launched BokaNova, signifying a new life for discarded bottles in Boka Bay.

This initiative is giving new life and purpose to our discarded glass bottles. Through this project the hotel is supporting local producers who rely on glass.

Although they haven’t yet fully mastered the circular system, it has brought immense joy to collaborate with their first recipient, the hidden yet charming Vinarija Jankovic – a winery in Drušici,Winery in Tivat and Medigovici where the hotel recently delivered around 3000 sanitized wine bottles, perfectly timed for the harvest season.

This is only the beginning for BokaNova, and they look forward to going beyond consumption by making a meaningful contribution to the community.
